Weddings and Weight Loss

Is there a link between weddings and weight loss? Apparently there is because whenever this time of year rolls around I invariable will get a call from someone I know who is desperate to lose twenty pounds before they have to be in a friends wedding. Most of you know by now that I emphasize long term weight loss over quick fixes however I also understand that there are times when you have to lose some weight fast in order to look your best for a special occasion. There are a few tricks I know that will help you to lose weight fast. I am willing to reveal them to you as long as you promise to only use them for special emergencies.

If you have a couple of months left then you still have plenty of time to actually lose the weight. You will have to get serious and make some drastic changes in your lifestyle. The first thing to do is completely eliminate fat from your diet. Since most restaurant food is high in fat you are going to have to start preparing a lot more of your own meals. For the times when you have to eat at a restaurant get some Fat Blocker and use enough to absorb whatever fat is in the food.
For the meals that you prepare try to make the majority of the calories come from protein with the rest from complex carbohydrates and NO FAT. Fish works very well here. Check out the recipe that I gave several months ago for the Tuna Burger. You want to reduce your carbohydrates but do not completely eliminate them or you will not have enough energy to train. Try to eat 3 to 4 small meals like this each day. The closer you get to bedtime the higher the percentage of protein the meal should contain.
Now that you have made the necessary changes in your diet to eliminate fat the next step is to increase your metabolism. You will want to use a thermogenic weight loss product like Thermo Phen Phen. I do not advocate long term use of this type of product but they do work pretty well to help lose 20 or 30 pounds fast. On your workout days take 1 to 2 capsules in the morning and then 2 or 3 right before your workout. On non-workout days take 1 or 2 capsules in the morning and another 1 or 2 about midday.
You can not totally rely on the thermogenic product to boost your metabolism so you will also need to exercise about 60 to 90 minutes 5 days a week. Each workout should consist of both weight training and aerobics. The weight training needs to be intense. Perform difficult exercises like lunges that work all of your muscles together. Each set should contain 10 to 12 repetitions. Push yourself so that you have very little rest between sets. You should be breathing hard and sweating during the entire workout. After about 45 minutes of weightlifting go directly to your aerobic training.
The aerobic exercises you perform should also be challenging. Make sure your heart rate is at least 120 bps the entire time. As with the weightlifting, try to also do something aerobic that involves the entire body. Most of the advanced aerobic classes provide enough movement to burn some serious calories so they would be a good choice.

If you get close to the big day and you are still a few pounds shy of that perfect look do not panic. You can still adjust the water in your body so that you look thinner. The day before the event you will want to reduce your fluid intake to about half of normal. Drink less and eat foods that are pure protein like our standby tuna. By taking in fewer fluids while eating meals void of carbohydrates you will naturally retain less water. If that is not enough help you can also take a natural diuretic product like Taraxatone or Diurtab. Just be careful not to overdo the diuretics. It will not be much fun at a wedding if you pass out.

I know this program sounds a little extreme but drastic times call for drastic measures. I have seen this program help people lose as much as 20 to 30 pounds in as little as 6 weeks. Once again, I do not advocate such methods for achieving long-term weight loss goals. If you have any existing medical conditions then this programs is not for you. If, however, an impending wedding day is approaching fast and you are out of options then get started now. You can thank me later.
